Is
a Personal Chef different from a Private
Chef ?
A private chef is employed full time
by a family and works specifically for
that family. A personal
chef is self-employed and works
for many families.
Do
you prepare low-calorie or special diet
meals ?
Yes. We include, but are not limited
to, low-fat, low-carbohydrate, low-calorie,
the Zone Diet,
organic, vegetarian, Dr. Atkins, Dr.
Bernstein's and many others.
During our initial consultation I can
conduct an in-depth assessment as to
what foods you would like included and
those you want excluded. We will then
customize a menu to suit your exclusive
requirements. Is
it affordable ?
Yes. The average Canadian Family spends
$668.00 (Statistics Canada) per month
on groceries and restaurant meals. They
also spend an average of 1.9 hours per
day on cooking, washing up, and preparing
meals. Add to that the grocery shopping,
line-ups and parking. Times 20 days,
that's 38 hours plus, per month. Wouldn't
you like those 38 hours per month back?
How
do I heat my meals ?
Most dishes can be heated in the microwave,
while some should be heated in the oven.
I leave you easy to follow heating instructions
for each entrée and side dish.
Some entrées can go directly
from the freezer to the microwave. However,
it is recommended that you defrost entrées
overnight in the refrigerator, as the
flavour and texture will be superior.
Are the menus the same every week ?
No, our menus
do change on a monthly basis, and we
can customize your menu exclusively
if you choose.
What
sort of containers do you use ?
You may supply your own uniform containers
or microwavable containers. Alternatively,
you can purchase plastic microwavable
containers from gift
of thyme for an additional one
time fee. |
